Our history

 The Viallet hotel has been run by 4 generations. It opened its doors in 1896 and was the first hotel in Areches, thanks to the initiative and perseverance of a local: Jean-Baptiste Viallet. In 1953, his son Jean rallied together with a few friends to build the first Grand-Mont ski lift. His son Jean-Claude succeeded him in the 1960s, and then Jean-Pascal took over in 1992.
 
As the cradle of the VIALLET family, the hotel continues the tradition of hospitality. Lovers of nature and the great outdoors, enthusiasts of authenticity and gastronomy... they all come here to enjoy a warm, family atmosphere.
 
Today, Jean-Pascal, the founder's great-grandson, puts all his generosity at the service of his guests with a generous cuisine of yesteryear that he has modernised.
